The free check
When you type an address or PIN, your browser asks the Cook County open data portal (datacatalog.cookcountyil.gov) for public records about that property. We don't need your name, email or phone to show the result. The result is kept only in your browser tab (session storage) so the back button works.
If you buy the packet
Payment is handled by our payment processor; we never see or store your card number. We keep your email address, the property's PIN and the packet we sent, so we can deliver it, answer questions and process refunds.
Analytics
We count page views and steps of the check (for example “result shown”, “checkout clicked”) with our own first-party analytics, without advertising trackers or selling data.
What we never do
- We don't sell or share your data with law firms, appeal companies or advertisers.
- We don't show owner names from county records.
- We don't contact you except about your order.
Deleting your data
Email help@example.com and we delete your order data, except what we must keep for tax and payment records.
